Sigma Wireless have been partnering with Jotron AS for over 15  years, we have successfully deployed and supported the backup ground to air VHF radio network for the Irish Aviation Authority providing the critical communications path between Air traffic control and the aircraft . Sigma Wireless has also  provided the Irish Coastguard with a Jotron VHF Radio Network. This network provides communications between Irish Coastguard command and control centres and maritime community both at sea and in the Irish inland waterways .

Jotron AS  is a private limited Norwegian company with 50 years of continuous operation in international markets allied with a sound financial base. Our aim is to continue servicing our national and international customers in the years to come.

 Jotron’s VHF AM mobile radio is a compact multi-purpose VHF AM transceiver, designed for applications where remote control of the radio is not needed. Flexible to AC or DC mains, with a battery pack solution. TR-810 is designed to meet future demands for a lightweight, rugged and flexible radio, specially designed for vehicle and desktop applications. Applications of the TR-810: Desktop Radio (TR-810DE), Vehicle Radio (TR-810VE), Man-Portable Radio (TR-810MP), Last Resort Radio (TR-810LR), Transceiver Offshore Radio (TR-810OF) and a transceiver Sub Rack Version (TR-810). The different applications ALL consist of a TR-810 transceiver base unit and a package of TR-810 accessories, fitted to the different applications.

In areas where VHF coverage is insufficient to sup[1]port a radio communications link over an air route's full length due to range limitations, the use of HF frequencies becomes necessary. These frequencies provide long-range radio link coverage for air-ground voice communications over major world air route areas (MWARAs) and regional and domestic air route areas (RDARAs) above oceans, deserts and other unpopulated territories. Since shortwave radio can sustain a radio channel beyond the line of sight (BLOS), it enables safe monitoring of air traffic through an uninterrupted radio link.
